More than 140 free genealogy courses are now online through FamilySearch, a family history website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly known as the Mormons.
Family Search is one of the best free websites out there, with plenty of information for everyone, from beginners to experienced genealogists. You also can search the catalog of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City – many of the holdings can be borrowed through LDS branch libraries in cities throughout the world.
The free genealogy courses cover a wide variety of topics, such as how to research in courthouses, African-American and Native American research, basic Italian research and genealogical primers in several foreign languages.
