The society’s website says Ellis, using court cases and vintage photographs, will give a brief Power Point presentation “that demonstrates some of the connections held by Mobilians of old.”
USA’s archives are a sometimes overlooked but valuable resource for researchers. It’s photograph collections are outstanding, with approximately 1,000,000 negatives, slides, and prints. A check of the Erik Overbey photographic collection could yield a picture of an ancestor.
