Cemetery “residents” featured during Oak Hill tours on Oct. 23

   

Birmingham madam Lou Wooster and 19th century murder victim Emma Hawes are among the historical figures who will be portrayed in character on Saturday, Oct. 23 during a tour of their resting place, Oak Hill Cemetery

 

 

Tours, which will begin about every 20 minutes, will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., said Stuart Oates, the cemetery’s executive director. They’ll feature seven other notable people from the city’s past, such as banker and industrialist Charles Linn. ¶  

Tour admission is $5, with children under 3 free. The cemetery is at 1120 19th St. North. ¶
