Alabama Genealogy Society spring seminar is April 16

The Alabama Genealogical Society Spring Seminar is set for Saturday, April 16 at Samford University in Birmingham.

The seminar, from 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m., will feature Dr. Thomas W. Jones, Ph.D, CG, CGL, who will lecture on “Disappearing Ancestors.”

Topics for the seminar will be: Solving the Mystery of the Disappearing Ancestor, Five Ways to Prove Who Your Ancestor Was,  Going Beyond the Bare Bones: Reconstructing Your Ancestor’s Lives and Finding Unfindable Ancestors.

The cost is $40 for non-members and $35 for AGS members. Lunch is on your own at the Samford University lunchroom or the food court in the same building.

AGS seminars are a great way to spend a day immersed in genealogy. The Samford campus is gorgeous and friendly.
