Tennessee Valley Civil War Round Table to meet April 14 in Huntsville

The fall of Fort Fisher in 1865 and how it sealed the fate of Gen. Robert E. Lee is the is the topic of the April 14 meeting of the Tennessee Valley Civil War Round Table in Huntsville.

Dr. James Sasser, president of the Piedmont Civil War Round Table in Charlotte, N.C. will make the presentation. Sasser is a retired professor at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte.

The program begins at 6:30 p.m., at the Elks Lodge, 725 Franklin St. in Huntsville. There’s an optional chicken buffet  available at 5:30 p.m. for $7.95.
