Springfield, Illinois is the destination this fall for the Federation of Genealogical Societies’ annual conference.
“Pathways to the Heartland” is the theme for this year’s event, which is Sept. 7-10 at the Prairie Capital Convention Center. There are more than 160 lectures covering a wide variety of genealogical topics.
Registration for the full conference is $185, postmarked by July 1 and $235 after that date.
Single day registration is $75 by July 1 and $99 after that date. There are a series of supplemental workshops for $15 each: Social History and Genealogy; Writing your Family History; Swedish workshop; German workshop; Think Like a Targeted Marketer; Developing a Basic Research Plan and Windows on the Past: Dating Photographs.
There are 16 luncheons and special events, all available at an extra charge.
