Vaccination during Civil War is the topic of Reynolds Historical Lecture in Birmingham

A lecture on vaccination during the Civil War may sound a bit dry, but anyone interested in Civil War era medicine might enjoy the learning more at noon on  Oct. 19 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Shauna Devine will present the Reynolds Historical Lecture,  “Science, Identity and Southern Medicine: Spurious Vaccination during the American Civil War, 1861-1865.”  The event will be in the Ireland Room on the third floor at Lister Hill Library, 170 University Blvd.

Admission is free and lunch will be served on a first come, first served basis.
