Swamp Fox symposium in South Carolina is set for Oct. 14-15

Want to learn about the famous “Swamp Fox” and the Southern campaign of the American Revolution? You can next month in Manning, S.C. at the 9th Francis Marion/Swamp Fox Symposium.

The event, from Oct. 14-15, will include a variety of topics on Marion and his role in the war for American independence and other aspects of the conflict.

What does South Carolina have to do with our Alabama ancestors? A lot!

Many of the Americans who came to the Alabama and Mississippi territories in the early 19th century migrated from Britain’s former Southern colonies, including South Carolina.

General registration is $95 or $175 for a couple and must be made by Oct. 3. Early birds who register by Sept. 21 will pay $90 for one or $165 per couple. Included are all the lectures, a reception, lunch and dinner theater event.
Registrations can be mailed to Attn: Francis Marion Symposium c/o C. Hester, PO Box 667, Manning, SC 29102.
