Alabama Genealogical Society spring seminar is March 31 in Birmingham

The Alabama Genealogical Society Spring Seminar will be Saturday, March 31 at Samford University in suburban Birmingham.
Linda Woodward Geiger is the speaker and she will present this program: “Data Mining The Records.”
The seminar is from 8:30 a.m.- 3:15 p.m. Samford’s Brock Forum Auditorium, 800 Lakeshore Drive in Homewood.
The lecture topics will be:
  • U.S. Territorial Papers, 1789-1873
  • More Than Land Descriptions: Treasures Among the Deeds
  • Using Tax Lists to Solve Genealogical Problems
  • Estate Records: More Than Just Wills.

 Cost of the seminar is $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Lunch is on your own, but the university’s cafeteria and food court are in the building next door.
