At the Alabama archives: a woman’s view of north Alabama in the Civil War

Fomer teacher Nancy M. Rohr is the speaker for the  Thursday, April 19 “ArchiTreats: Food for Thought” program at the Alabama Department of Archives and History.
Rohr’s topic at the free event is  Incidents of War: The Civil War of Mary Jane Chadick.  Rohr is editor of the book, The Incidents of War: The Civil War Journal of Mary Jane Chadick, in which Chadick describes the years of Federal occupation of north Alabama.
This presentation is in conjunction with the statewide Becoming Alabama initiative.
The noon event is free and the public is invited to bring a sack lunch. It will take place at the state archives, 624 Washington Ave. in Montgomery.
